Platforms

Where Tonta publishes

Every plan can connect every platform on this page. What your plan limits is how many brands you run — never which platforms a brand can reach. Connecting a fifth platform costs exactly the same as connecting your first.

Tier 1

Natively designed for

Tonta plans the shot for this platform specifically — aspect, length, hook pacing, caption conventions and hashtag norms are all made for where it's going, not adapted after the fact.

Instagram

Reels first: 9:16, planned hook pacing, a caption written to Instagram's own conventions, and a first comment where that pattern performs better than putting everything in the caption itself.

Preferred ratio
9:16
Other accepted
4:5, 1:1, 16:9
Max duration
15 min (900 s)
Max file size
300 MB
Recommended resolution
1080×1920
Caption / text max
2,200 characters
TikTok

Built for TikTok's own pacing and sound-on norms. TikTok caps posting at 6 per minute and 15 per day per account — Tonta's own scheduler enforces that limit before it ever tries to exceed it, rather than letting a cadence discover it mid-run.

Preferred ratio
9:16
Other accepted
16:9, 1:1
Max duration
10 min (600 s)
Max file size
4 GB
Recommended resolution
1080×1920 (min 540×960)
Caption / text max
2,200 characters (UTF-16)
YouTube

Shorts, purpose-built: 9:16, and a description written for how people actually search and browse Shorts.

Preferred ratio
9:16
Other accepted
Not published by the platform
Max duration
3 min (180 s)
Max file size
Not published by the platform
Recommended resolution
1080×1920
Caption / text max
5,000 characters (description)
Facebook

Facebook Reels shares the same underlying format as Instagram Reels, and Tonta treats it the same way — planned for the platform, not adapted onto it.

Preferred ratio
9:16
Other accepted
4:5, 1:1, 16:9
Max duration
15 min (900 s)
Max file size
300 MB
Recommended resolution
1080×1920
Caption / text max
Not published by the platform

Duration and file size are the shared Reels object's own published figures (Instagram's reference), not an independently stated Facebook-specific number.

Threads

A shorter, text-forward companion cut — the caption is written to Threads' own 500-character ceiling rather than trimmed from a longer one.

Preferred ratio
9:16
Other accepted
4:5, 1:1, 16:9
Max duration
5 min (300 s)
Max file size
1 GB
Recommended resolution
1080×1920
Caption / text max
500 characters

Tier 2

Publish-supported

Tonta publishes here reliably and handles the platform's own prerequisites — page, board or location selection, aspect and caption adaptation. The creative is adapted from the native cut, not designed for this platform from scratch, and this page says so rather than letting you find out by comparing results.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn's own preferred shape is 4:5, a squarer portrait crop than the 9:16 most other platforms want — Tonta adapts to that rather than sending a Reels-shaped clip and hoping it lands well.

Preferred ratio
4:5
Other accepted

Caption / text max
3,000 characters

Organic-post duration and file size aren't stated for the API path this product uses (LinkedIn separately publishes ad-specific figures: 3 s–30 min, 75 KB–500 MB).

Pinterest

Publishes as a Pin to a board you choose during connection setup — every post needs a board, which is the single most common reason a Pinterest connection looks fine but the first Pin doesn't.

Preferred ratio
9:16
Other accepted
4:5, 1:1
Max duration

Recommended resolution
1080×1920
Caption / text max
800 characters (description; title capped separately at 100)
Bluesky

Bluesky doesn't publish a fixed video limit at all — its own design checks upload eligibility live, per account, right before a publish, rather than stating a number in its docs.

No duration or file-size figure is published — Bluesky's own account-level upload-limits check is the actual gate, not a docs page.

Mastodon

Mastodon is a federation of independently run instances, so most of its limits are whatever the account's own instance sets — not a single Mastodon-wide number.

WordPress

Self-hosted WordPress has no platform-imposed limit to state — it's entirely the customer's own hosting configuration. (WordPress.com's own VideoPress product separately supports up to 6 GB.)

Tier 3

Approval-only

Publishing works the same way as everywhere else, with one difference: nothing goes out without a person signing off first.

Reddit

Every Reddit post is held for a person's sign-off before it goes out — never auto-published. Subreddit norms vary too much for an automated post to safely guess right, and a banned account is a harm Tonta caused, not a risk worth the shortcut.

Preferred ratio

No duration figure is stated for posts — a 3-minute figure exists, but only for video comments, a different upload path.

How this works

Three things true of every platform above

None of this is platform-specific — it's how Tonta publishes anywhere it publishes at all.

Disclosure is always on

Every native publish carries Tonta’s AI disclosure by default. There is no setting that turns it off.

Content is never silently altered

If a platform would change what you posted — stripping a link, trimming a caption — Tonta detects that before publish and asks you to choose, rather than posting something you didn’t approve.

Connection health, not hope

Tonta checks each connection’s health continuously, not just when you connect it — so a dying token surfaces before a scheduled post fails because of it.
